FAQ: Cosmetic Tattoo
APPOINTMENTS
How long does does the procedure take?
Your personal treatment session will take approx. 2-3 hours.
Within this timeframe there will be two stages - the mapping stage, then the actual treatment.
Please keep in mind that the mapping stage is a crucial step to your appointment. Aesthetics studio pride themselves in creating perfection so continuous measuring, mapping, and making adjustments where needed is important to us.
Why do I need 2 sessions?
Everyone’s skin heals differently, and this impacts how your skin holds the pigments. It is hard to determine how your skin will heal on your first session, and therefore the end result. This is why you are required to come in for a second session to ‘perfect’ and make adjustments where necessary.
What is the list of contraindications that would prevent me from getting this treatment?
Please find all of this information listed under 'New Client Consultation.'
If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the studio anytime!
I need to reschedule my appointment; how can I do that?
Get in touch with me as soon as possible to move your appointment to another suitable date and time. If you fail to reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment your deposit will forfeited to cover my time that was reserved for you. You will be required to pay another deposit to secure your next chosen date.
Appointment No Show, Appointment Cancellation & Late Arrivals
Deposits are non-refundable.
Fail to come before 15 minutes will result in rebooking your appointment and making a new deposit.
Failing to show up to your appointment will result in you being required to pay 100% of your treatment. If payment is not made, further services with Aesthetics Studio will be denied. However, if paid and you wish to rebook another treatment, 50% of this charge will be applied to your deposit and total treatment cost.
PROCEDURE
Does it hurt?
Aesthetics Studio does use a numbing cream prior to the treatment to help with discomfort.
The pain is tolerable to most clients. Keep in mind, every person reacts differently to pain, discomfort, and also different numbing creams.
As well as the primary numbing cream, Aesthetics Studio also use a secondary numbing gel during your procedure. This acts almost instantly, making you a bit more relaxed and less concerned if you do feel a bit of discomfort after the first numbing cream.
How long will my cosmetic tattoo last?
Your cosmetic tattoo is semi-permanent and will fade over time. Everyone is different. Your unique genetics, skin type and lifestyle will contribute and effect the way your skin retains pigment.
To maintain your cosmetic tattoo, it is highly recommended annual colour boosts.
Recommended Colour Boost Timeframe:
-
Hairstroke Brows: 12-14 Months
-
Machine Brows: (Powder, Ombre & Combination) Around the 18-month mark
-
Lips: Typically, last around 5-7 years depending on colour choice.
What can I do to look after my new Brows/Lips?
You will be given an aftercare sheet with detailed instructions along with an aftercare package to care for your new brows or lips.
